Barev Yerevan: Republicans hindered campaign meeting
The Barev Yerevan alliance issued a statement claiming that its April 28 campaign rally in Yerevan's Kanaker-Zeytoun district was hindered.
In particular, the alliance states that the electrical wires were cut during the meeting, later the entire building where the meeting was being held was de-energized. When the meeting organizers attempted to search for alternate power sources, staffers of the Republican Party approached them and stirred a brawl, making the police intervene in the mess.
The alliance condemns the incident incited by the Republican Party staffers and demands that the police take appropriate measures to identify and punish the provocateurs. It also demands that the police maintain public order and ensure the safety of its meeting attendees.
