Opinion: Ashot Papayan is a man who cares for Yerevan
Levon Igityan, a member of Yerevan's Council of Elders, is aware that the loyalists of incumbent Mayor Taron Margaryan beat a journalist during an election campaign meeting in one of the capital's districts.
"You, journalists, are constantly looking for conflicts and complicating the situation," Igityan told reporters on Friday.
Ulike Igityan, film director Mikael Dovlatyan condemns the assault on the reporter of ilur.am website. He says Levon Igityan wanted to speak about high values but he was interrupted when asked to comment on the incident.
Mr Dovlatyan knows the member of Yerevan's Council of Elders, Ashot Papayan, who is suspected of committing violence against the journalist. He says Papayan is ‘a real man, who cares for Yerevan. ‘
