We should, of course, continue to struggle, but we should also bear in mind that the Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict can be resolved either by force or under pressure of the international community, political scientist Levon Shirinyan said on April 26.

He says the reports that the Turks are changing are merely illusion: "Turks are the same racists and xenophobes," he stressed.

"Suppose that the Turkish society has changed, what, do you think, they will do? Will they say ‘come and take Erzurum?" Will they leave their homes in Kars and Erznka (Yerznka)? Have you heard anything of the kind from modern-day Turks?" said Shirinyan.

The political scientist says the Kurds took advantage of the Armenian Genocide and settled in Western Armenia. As for the U.S., Levon Shirinyan says it is inclined to support the position of Turkey in the issue, given its geopolitical interests.
