Commemoration events for the Armenian Genocide victims were held in the Armenian communities in Kazakhstan on April 22-24.

A large crowd gathered at the Armenian Culture Center "Luys" in Almaty to remember the victims of the crime committed in the Ottoman Empire in 1915. They laid flowers at the cross-stone (khachkar) outside the center. This was followed by the Divine Liturgy for the souls of the 1.5 million innocent victims of the 1915 Genocide.

In the city of Karaganda, local Armenians observed a moment of silence for the innocent victims. Remembrance events were also held in Astana, Aktobe, Kostana, Öskemen and other cities of Kazakhstan.

Events commemorating Armenian Genocide Remembrance Day were also held in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan.
