New people questioned in high-profile money laundering case

Vahe Aghabegians, a founding member of the Board of the Civilitas Foundation who arrived in Armenia on April 6, was called for questioning on April 8 by Armenia's National Security Service within the framework of the ongoing investigation related to the Civilitas Foundation.

The questioning took place on April 11, during which the investigator inquired about the projects carried out in the in Armenia's Foreign Ministry in 2001. [Aghabegians was a volunteer Advisor to the Minister from 1998 to 2008.] He was also asked about the car wash and fuel issues connected with cars that did not belong to the Civilitas Foundation. He was also asked questions about ‘money laundering,' the Civilitas Foundation reports.
