Ruben Hakhverdyan: Sargsyan had absent glance
Renowned singer Ruben Hakhverdyan says he is not disappointed with opposition leader Raffi Hovannisian. However, he thinks that the leader of the opposition Heritage party [Raffi Hovannisian] should not have marched to the Genocide Memorial on Tsitsernakaberd hilltop on April 9 to conduct a vigil there.
"If people finally got disappointed with Hovannisian, we can find other leaders. We have many well-prepared fellows, for example Zhirayr Sefilyan," the composers told reporters on April 10.
Hakhverdyan says people are following the Heritage party leader as they are against the acting authorities led by Serzh Sargsyan.
"Emigration is escalating day by day. People are not running from hunger, they are running from this stinky regime. People follow Raffi because he is a decent and honest person who did not clinch any deal with authorities," he said.
The singer says Serzh Sargsyan's inauguration was a funny performance. "When I was watching the ceremony on TV I noticed his absent glance...," Hakhverdyan said adding that he could not get a wink of sleep at night as he was thinking of ways to get out of this situation.
However, he was unable to find a solution to the political crisis.
