Hand raised against Armen Martisrosyan's mother
Raffi Hovannisian's HQ's statement:
Today at 10:30 am the representatives of RA police have allowed illegal actions provoking fuss and bustle against the residents who were in a hurry to reach the Freedom square from different regions of Armenia.
In particular, in the crossroad Bahgramyan-Demirchyan the police applied brutal actions, raised hands against people who were making peaceful march before, including "Heritage" party's Vice-president Armen Martirosyan's wife and children.
And right at that moment the police blocked the march led by Raffi Hovannisian's to Baghramyan Avenue from Proshyan stereet. The Defense Ministry troops were also in the area.
We strongly condemn this illegal action of the police, inadequate and menial behavior. We demand to stop the provocation and creation of some artificial tension over oath-taking ceremony in Freedom Square for New Armenia. For the consequences of the similar actions the responsibility will fall on the police and on de facto president for ordering the implementation of such kind of actions.
