Raffi Hovannisian's statement on April 9
On April 8, the police of the Republic of Armenia have issued a statement in which they allowed estimates exceeding their powers the, then relying on their own absurd predictions and fortune-telling they have also given defamatory evaluations to my actions.
I inform Serz Sargsyan, Vladimir Gasparyan, Gorik Hakobyan and other officials and law enforcement leaders subject to Serzh Sargsyan that starting from today's afternoon you will stop to be the representative of the Republic of Armenia and the Armenian nation.
I demand your self-resignation on the base of your anti-constitutional statements. Otherwise, if my organized gatherings, as you say are "illegal" and the peaceful nature of the meetings "will be partially or completely meaningless depending on the situation of the development" then today in the afternoon come and arrest me. There I am really going to take the duties that my nation has entrusted me on February 18.
Let it be clear for all the people of the world, for Armenia, Artsakh(NKR) and the Diaspora, it is not the victory or defeat of Serzh or Raffi, but the resurrection, rebirth of the Armenian nation, the recreation of the state.
Let it be clear also for you: Homeland is eternal, the flag is sacred, and you my friends (including me) are nothing compared with our country, our government and our future generations.
