Will the authorities repeat 2008?
"Rule of Law" party will actively participate in the upcoming political processes, today "Rule of Law" (OEK) party leader Arhur Baghdasaryan announced during a meeting with reporters.
He mainly referred to the municipal elections, noting that in RA healthy competitive environment has been created and the election will be held in these conditions.
"Not underestimating the incumbent mayor, the leader of the list of the councilors' list of Republican Party of Armenia (HHK) Taron Margaryan's work, we say that our candidate can do the work better",- he emphasized.
Arhur Baghdasaryan observes that today the transition threshold is 6 percent. "But we are not talking about 6%. Today Taron Margaryan and Armen Eritsayn have a competitive advantage, which will provide a really interesting political campaign".
Referring to the steps of Raffi Hovannisian and the anticipated two inaugural ceremonies on April 9 (Serzh Sargsyan and Raffi Hovannisian, editorial) Artur Baghdasaryan noted:
"I think this approach is unacceptable. First of all the presidential elections are over and now in the country a dangerous precedent is formed when one of the candidates has self-proclaimed as a King. Raffi Hovannisian repeated what happened in 2008, when then the oppositional active force declared himself a president and started appointing ministers ".
Then, Arthur Baghdasaryan repeated the same suggetsions of cooperation that Raffi Hovannisian has made to Serzh Sargsyan: "Raffi Hovannisian has to understand that one can not be both in the opposition and in the government simultaneously. There is no such practice in any country".
According to him, educated and knowledgeable people will have to rule in all the aspects of the government. "The incumbent president should get rid of impudent and tired people as was the case in the social sphere. Or there are officials who have been in the same positions for 20 and personnel changes should already occur in a natural way. People want change; they also want justice, not only bread. "
