ANC (HAK) withdraws from Ethics Committee
These days NA Armenian National Congress (HAK) party's faction has been reviewing its participation in the meetings of the Ethics committee.
"Frankly speaking I'm no longer interested in that commission, as I consider mindless our involvement there and I think we will stop our participation there. I think the faction will approve of my position",- HAK MP Lyudmila Sargsyan says.
Mrs. Sargsyan has been in the commission since spring session replacing HAK MP Nikol Pashinyan. She has managed to take part only in 2 sessions.
"But there was not even the need of the 2nd session, since everything was very clear and very visible from the first session. Perhaps during the autumn session the Republican Party of Armenia (HHK) already realized that the Ethics committee was the only committee over which it did not have a complete control and decided to correct that gap".
Due to the decision of the National Assembly during the spring session NA included one more HHK MP as a result of which the numbers of the members of HHK and Rule of Law(OEK) coalition was enough to vote in their favor and implement any kind of decision.
"It was faint-heartedness from the part of HHK. Even proceeding from own interests they should have created the illusion of democracy allowing at least the Ethics Committee to be able to perform its function", - Mrs. Sargsyan mentioned.
In the opinion of Lyudmila Sargsyan till HAK's withdrawal from the Ethics Commission, they will have to agree that issue with Armenian Revolutionary Federation (ARF) and Prosperous Armenia Party (BHK).
