Changes in the university system
Major changes will take place in university system in 2014.Today at the regular meeting of the parliament education and science minister Armen Ashotyan presented the draft of amendments.
After the session during a press conference with the journalists Mr. Ashotyan told that till now we have been working with classification of professions and educational methods inherited from the Soviet period.
"On the basis of modern developments we have made some changes on the existing and inherited system. Today we have hybrid of professions, of old and new: What does it mean to change the classification? It means to remove some professions, to change the names of some professions, magnify the specialties.
In 2014 we will review the complete list of professions and occupations and compare with the list of UNESCO's classification, which also make readable and recognizable RA qualifications",-Minister of Education and Science Armen Ashotyan said.
