6 political parties participating in the municipal elections to be held on May 5 : Republican Party of Armenia (HHK) , Rule of Law( OEK), Prosperous Party of Armenia(BHK), Armenian National Congress (HAK), Armenian Revolutionary Federation (ARF), "Mission" party and "Hello Yerevan" alliance can use TV and radio broadcasts for their campaign rally period-April 7 till 12 am, May 3.
According to the Electoral Code throughout the campaign of the City Council election the political forces have free access to use public television airtime for no more than 30 minutes, radio airtime, no more than 50 minutes, and in the case of paying respectively no more than 50 minutes and 80 minutes.
Armenia's Public TV defined the prices of the paying broadcast for the electoral campaign, that is 1 minute 80 thousand drams, including VAT, while Armenia Public Radio Company, 3 thousand 600 drams, including VAT.
Aanother 10 television networks and 3 radio companies also provide pre-paid air time for campaigning.
According to CEC's web site among the mentioned broadcasters "Shant" TV has got the highest rate, for one minute 120 thousand drams, including VAT. It is ready to provide airtime every day from 6 pm to 11:15 pm up to 7 minutes for every political force.
"Erevan" and "Lime" TV channels offer the lowest prices: for one minute 15 thousand drams, including VAT .
From radio companies "FM 105.5" has set for 1 minute 3 thousand 120 drams, "Radio FM 107" 2 thousand 800 drams, " Radio Hay" 2 thousand 400 drams.
