Heritage Party Leader Raffi Hovannisian will stop his hunger strike in Yerevan's Freedom Square after the Easter Divine Liturgy on March 31.

"I am going to stop my humble fast on Sunday and, without a break, together with Armenians, national minorities, Artsakh and Diaspora representatives we shall prepare for April 9," Hovannisian said during today's rally in Freedom Square.
The Heritage leader said he would address the people on Sunday before walking to church with his family.

Next week, Hovannisian will again travel to regions to meet with his supporters there. His next rally is scheduled to take place in Freedom Square on April 5.

Raffi Hovannisian has been staging a hunger strike in the square for 19 days in protest against the official results of the February 18 presidential election that gave victory to Serzh Sargsyan. The Heritage leader, who claims to be the rightful winner of the February ballot, said he would continue his street protests until Sargsyan's inauguration for a second term due on April 9.
