Republican MP says Hovannisian will not succeed with his behaviour
Leader of the Heritage party, presidential candidate Raffi Hovannisian will not achieve success with his present behaviour, says Republican MP Hamlet Harutyunyan.
Addressing his supporters on Friday during his recurrent rally in Freedom Square, the Heritage leader made several proposals to Serzh Sargsyan, demanding serious government concessions and appointment of key officials by him. In particular, Raffi Hovannisian demanded that Serzh Sargsyan appoint individuals suggested by him to run ministries of justice, foreign affairs and education, the government's tax collection agency, the Office of the Prosecutor-General and the National Security Service (NSS).
The Republican lawmaker says with the move Raffi Hovannisian is aborting the possible talks with the authorities.
Speaking about the municipal elections to be held in Yerevan on May 5, Hamlet Harutyunyan said his party was going to maintain its seats.
"The incumbent mayor has proved that he can be a good mayor. There are unfinished projects launched by him which should be completed. One of the achievements is that the mayor does not only focus on the capital center," he said.
Among the greatest achievements of the incumbent mayor, Hamlet Harutyunyan singled out the mutual sympathy and respect between Taron Margaryan and the people.
