Richard Hovannisian thanks people
Addressing the participants of today's rally in Yerevan's Freedom Square, Richard Hovannisian, the father of Heritage Party Leader Raffi Hovannisian, said he was against his son's presidential bid as he was convinced that it was political suicide.
"I was sure that he (Raffi) would be subjected to pressure and would not be allowed to act. Now I am happy to say that I was mistaken in my predictions," said Richard Hovannisian.
He believes that all issues will be settled through dialogue and compromise.
"I hope that the affliction of our people and Raffi Hovannisian will not be in vain," he said.
Richard Hovannisian also thanked the attendees for their support and confidence in his son.
"No mater how hale Raffi looks, I know that he suffers a lot. I am thankful to you; you have shocked not only Armenia but also the Diaspora," said Richard Hovannisian
