U.S. Ambassador met the observer
Today U.S. Ambassador John A. Heffern met with U.S. citizen Narine Esmayel discussing Mrs. Esmayel's case appealed to the court in the bases of the electoral violations that she observed on February 18 presidential elections.
The ambassador will continue following closely Mrs. Esmayel's case, as well as the post-election developments since the welfare of American citizens living abroad remains the number one priority issue of the U.S. government.
The United States is ready to continue its work with the people and the government of Armenia to help to strengthen democratic processes, which will guarantee the freedom of expression of their views and opinions without fear of persecution or repression.
