Great help to Syrian Armenians in motherland
The information that the financial assistance was provided to Yerevan 156 Syrian Armenians' families by the municipality of Yerevan was presented today in the session of the Ministry of Diaspora's Committee concerned with the problems of Syrian Armenians.
Support is also provided with housing, utility fees, purchase of medicines and other purposes.
"Also household items, refrigerators, washing machines, heaters were provided to 215 families, according to their claim",-said the chairman of the department of social security of the municipality Ruzanna Zakarian.
According to the data of January, actually 489 families with 1372 members live in Yereavan great majority of who live in the center of the city or in Arabkir distrcict.
Food assistance was provided to 66 families and 11 Syrian Armenians were included in charitable soup kitchens.
Right of pension has been to 31 Syrian citizens and right of subsidy to 9 of them.
In the regional employment centers 131 Syrian citizens have been registered, of which 64 have found a job.
"All the employers who accept Syrian Armenians speak with admiration of them. There has been created Syrian Armenians "brand". At their workplace they are competitive, competent and responsible bringing a new culture to our working culture. It is very pleasant.",- says the Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan.
She adds that further educational, social and health problems will continue to be solved.
