Women are not forgiven in politics
Women are used in politics as heavy artillery to give utterance to men's postulates, says Anush Sedrakyan, a member of the Free Democrats party. The role of women in politics has become real: in the past it was mythology.
"Everybody was afraid of the authorities, everyone showed their unconditional love for the opposition. It divided the society into two fabulous parts. Today a third camp has formed in the society, with a major accent laid on women," she said.
For her part, Republican MP Karine Achemyan hails women's engagement in politics although she says more demands are set before women.
"In politics, women are not forgiven for the things that are ignored in case of men," she said.
