Vazgen Sargsyan left home on his birthday day
For the 54th anniversary of Sparapet (supreme commander of the armed forces) Vazgen Sargsyan the members of Yerkrapah voluntary union with the head of General Manvel Grigoryan went to his birthplace village of Ararat to congratulate the great commander.
Vazgen Sargsyan's parents received the guests at their place. Later they visited Vazgen Sargsyan's museum, put flowers and wreath on his monument and continued their way to Erablur Pantheon.
Here they were joined by NA Speaker Hovik Abrahamyan, vice-presidents of the National Assembly Hermine Naghdalyan and Edward Sharmazanov, Yerevan's Mayor Taron Margaryan, Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan, other members of the Republican Party of Armenia, as well Vazgen Sargsyan's brothers, Aram Aargsyan and Armen Sargsyan. The latter indicated that Vazgen Sargsyan never liked to celebrate his birthday and even on the 40th anniversary he had left the house and had been lost for one day.
General Manvel Grigoryan, Seyran Ohanyan and Writers' Union president Levon Ananian made a speech.
