Heritage party representatives have submitted an appeal to the Constitutional Court with a demand to announce the final results of Feb. 18 presidential election invalid.

"In the petition we demand that the Constitutional Court recognize the voice of the people as valid and invalidate the results of the fake election," Hovsep Khurshudayn, a spokesman for the opposition Heritage party, said during an open-air press conference on Monday.

Heritage party leader, presidential candidate Raffi Hovannisian is disputing the Feb. 25 decision of the Central Election Commission that declared Serzh Sargsyan as winner of the election with over 58 percent of the vote.
Heritage representatives claim that the 16-page petition contains all legal grounds to revoke the CEC decision. The preliminary study of the document should be completed within 24 hours after its registration.

A similar petition was earlier in the day by presidential candidate Andrias Ghukasyan who is also challenging the results of ‘fraudulent' elections.
