Heritage party leader Raffi Hovannisian has no right to question or challenge the election results. As long as the economy remains unchanged, we shall have this 37% of the vote, says Hamlet Harutyunyan, a lawmaker of the ruling Republican Party of Armenia (HHK), Chairman of the Artsakh Patriotic Union.

He described Raffi Hovannisian as a decent person and competent politician. However, on February 18 Harutyunyan voted for Serzh Sargsyan as he did not only elect a president, but also a supreme commander.

The Republican MP finds the Karabakh issue to be the most important in the country.

"Did you see how active Azerbaijanis became against the background of political upheavals in Armenia?" said the Republican MP.

Hamlet Harutyunyan also referred to singer Ruben Hakhverdyan's statement uttered during the Feb. 28 rally at Liberty Square.

"Only a person who feels animal hatred towards Artsakh people can say such things. We should find out and punish the internal enemy. How did they allow this man [Hkahverdyan] descend the platform and go home," he said.
"It could tell people izpytyvayuschy animal hatred. We have to find and punish the enemy within! How to let this man go home safely? "- He asked.

Speaking about Serzh Sargsyan during the Thursday rally, Ruben Hakhverdyan said ‘he had come from the remotest depths of an Azerbaijani province.' He meant to say when Serzh Sargsyan was living in Stepanakert, the Artsakh liberation movement had not yet started and Nagorno-Karabakh was still a part of the Soviet Azerbaijan.
