Speaker of the Armenian National Assembly Hovik Abrahamyan started today's sitting in high spirits.
"I am glad to see you in a good mood and I do hope that it will influence effectively on our work," Abrahamyan said addressing the parliamentary opposition.
Then he continued in the same spirits, "If you participate in a laughing contest, you will surely take the first prize."
Naira Zohrabyan, Secretary of the Prosperous Armenia Party (BHK), said that her party was against granting extra powers to the Ethics Committee.
"We have the impression that the committee is turning into a political truncheon. If things continue in the same way, we shall have to consider the expediency of having our representative in the committee."
"You are so stern, Mrs. Zohrabyan," said the NA Speaker.
