PNAM had become a "village club"
During the special congress of "Pan-Armenian National Movement" (PANM) Levon Ter-Petrosyan said.
"This question arose due to the fact that the HAK faction, making a huge work, if not for its results, then for its energy of educating people, is equivalent to the first pan-Armenian national movement",- said the first president. Levon Ter-Petrosyan's second statement was that HAK faction is not such any longer.
"One year ago the process of decomposition started. I do not want to enter into the reasons. If there are not, what should we do? What was PNAM before 2007?", - mentioned in his speech a Levon Ter-Petrosyan. The first president also claimed that PANM has not been a constant power.
"We have had weakened times, glorious times, as well as infamous period of disgrace. After Vano Siradeghyan's leaving the government and coming out of the country, the party had become a "village club", if not a schism. I do not want PANM to turn into a museum. Cheers",- said Levon Ter-Petrosyan and drank water.
Levon Ter-Petrossian spoke about the party's name change assuring that HAK party will be the legitimate successor of PNAM and HAK faction. Mr. Ter-Petrosyan reminded that the name change is usual thing in the history of parties.
"Have not all our communist parties changed their names, all of them have changed: It's very natural", - said Levon Ter-Petrosyan.
The first president is confident that the name change does not change the human nature.
"Didn't PNAM cause allergic reactions? Of course it did. If this were not, know, that there would be a dessert",-said Levon Ter-Petrosyan.
