CEC responds to Raffi Hovannisian
Electoral district commissions N 2 and N 3 are presented engaged in the review of vote tallies, Central Election Commission said in reply to presidential candidate Raffi Hovannisian's campaign headquarters which announced earlier today that election commissions are recounting votes without the knowledge of his proxies.
Hovannisian's proxies Styopa Safaryan and Karen Vardanyan were present during the recount at Precincts 2 and 3. Daniel Ioannisyan, the president of the local precinct committee [appointed by the Heritage Party] was also at Precinct 3 during the review.
The CEC claims that Hovannisian filed applications demanding to invalidate vote results in other polling stations and says that they will be considered within the timeframe prescribed by the Election Code.
