The Supreme Body of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation (Dashnaktsutyun) issued a statement stating that their efforts to form a joint political agenda and to nominate a joint candidate did not yield any results; hence they find it meaningless to run in an event the result of which is already predetermined.

"The pre-election period also speaks of the ‘quality' of the upcoming vote. But life will continue after February 18, with people's concerns remaining unaddressed. We believe that our people will find the strength within them to conduct free, fair and competitive elections one day," reads the statement.

Dashnaktsutyun calls on its electorate to participate in the February 18. At the same time the party urges people not to vote for the pro-government candidate.
"We urge Armenian citizens to go to the polls to prevent the reproduction of the ruling authorities. After all, democratic Armenia must hold democratic elections. Vote with your conscience or void the ballot," says the party.

Dashnaktsutyun again reaffirmed its resoluteness to continue the fight for changing the atmosphere of mistrust and desperation in order to ensure prosperous and dignified life for citizens.
