In its Wednesday meeting, the Political Council of the Armenian National Congress (HAK) discussed the format of future cooperation within the opposition alliance.

Given the position of the political parties affiliated with the alliance, it was decided to discuss the issue after the final formation of the new party, said HAK Coordinator Levon Zurabyan.

It was also decided to resume the meetings of the Political Council and determine the format of the opposition alliance after the formation of the party.
"The HAK declaration was signed by 18 political parties. The number of forces affiliated with the opposition bloc has dropped to 15," said Mr Zurabyan.

The HAK official dismissed the reports that the alliance had sold its seats at precinct election commissions to the Republican Party of Armenia (HHK) and Prosperous Armenia Party (BHK).

"This is nonsense," he said.
The inaugural session of the new party is slated for March 22.
