Eastern Partnership FMs to meet in Yerevan
Armenia's Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian participated in the non-official meeting of the Foreign Ministers of the Eastern Partnership member countries. The meeting was attended by Commissioner for Enlargement and European Neighbourhood Policy, Štefan Füle, Deputy Secretary General for Political Affairs, Helga Schmid and the delegations of Eastern Partnership member countries.
The participants discussed the results of the cooperation on the sidelines of the Eastern partnership program, pointed the prospects of the partnership, referred to the implementation of the roadmap of the Eastern Partnership and exchanged thoughts on the steps to be undertaken before the Vilnius Summit.
Addressing the meeting participants, Armenia's Foreign Minister presented the progress Armenia has registered within the framework of the Eastern Partnership and stressed Armenia's expectation to end the negotiations over the Association Agreement and Deep Comprehensive Free Trade Zone.
Minister Nalbandian noted that Armenia plans to chold a number of events in Yerevan in the sectors of justice, youth exchange and education.
The Armenian official also hailed the signing of an agreement between Armenia and the EU on facilitation of visa regime.
In conclusion, Minister Nalbandian reaffirmed Armenia's readiness to host the third non-official meeting of the Eastern Partnership FMs in Yerevan.
