Serzh Sargsyan postpones campaign rally
Presidential candidate Serzh Sargsyan has postponed his campaign rally in Yerevan's Malatiya-Sebastiya community following last night's shooting incident that left an opposition presidential candidate wounded.
Sargsyan's campaign headquarters has issued a statement saying that Armenia's TV channels and public Radio of Armenia will not broadcast Serzh Sargsyan's political advertising today.
An assassination attempt was made against presidential candidate, chairman of the National Self-Determination Union Paruyr Hayrikyan on Thursday evening. Hayrikyan was hospitalized with a gunshot wound in the right collarbone.
