Village headman hinders candidate's campaign
On January 24, the RA Police received a report from H. Noreyan, head of presidential candidate Raffi Hovannisian's election headquarters, in which the latter said that the headman of Vanashen village in Ararat marz had demanded money from the campaign staffers who wanted to affix Hovannisian's posters in the village.
During the preparation of the materials, the headman of Vanashen, A. Grigoryan, told the police that he had noticed strangers in the village and had approached to know who they were. The latter introduced themselves as Hovannisian's campaign members and said they wanted to affix posters. Grigoryan explained them the order of affixing posters, that is, that they needed to submit an application in advance.
However, Hovannisian's representatives did not agree and declared that the headman hindered their work. The headman also showed them the decision dated 17.12.2012 on allocating places (3 addresses) for posters.
As of January 25, H. Noreyan and others have not yet showed up at the Prosecutor General's Office to give testimony though they have received a writ.
