OSCE/ODIHR neglects illegalities by HHK candidate
The Center of Parliamentarism of Armenia has issued a statement slamming the inaction of the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR), as well as the abuse of official position by incumbent President Serzh Sargsyan.
"In 2012, Serzh Sargsyan abused his official position to rig the May 6 parliamentary election. Extensive use of state resources in favor of the ruling Republican Party of Armenia (HHK) was another major tool applied to fabricate the outcome of the May vote. The 500 complaints filed with the Central Election Commission refer to the aforesaid violations.
The OSCE/ODIHR Election Observation Mission as usual attempts to "neglect" the illegalities committed by the HHK candidate [Serzh Sargsyan], therby inspiring the incumbent during his campaign rallies," the Center said adding that it tries to understand the stance of the OSCE/ ODIHR EOM as the key positions in its Armenian structure are held by the same people.
