Sedrakyan urges Ghukasyan to stop hunger strike
Presidential candidate Vardan Sedrakyan today visited Radio Hay director, presidential candidate Andrias Ghukasyan who is staging an open-ended hunger strike outside the National Academy of Sciences in Yerevan.
"I said that I support him but I do accept this form of struggle," Mr Sedrakyan told A1+.
The two presidential hopefuls had a short conversation during which Sedrakyan persuaded Ghukasyan to stop the protest.
"I told him that he was ruining his health with the move," said Sedrakyan.
Andrias Ghukasyan started the hunger strike on Monday after the Central Election Commission refused his demand to annul the registration of [incumbent president] Serzh Sargsyan as a candidate in the February 18 election.
