The campaign website (http://bagratyanpresident.am) of presidential candidate Hrant Bagratyan resembles a blog, rather than a website.

It is very modest, colourless and leaves the impression that the candidate does not have money. Contrary to this, the candidate's economic program, i.e. the part of his election platform telling about the ways of enriching the country, is the longest on the site.

On the home page, one will find news, comments and statements about the candidate's campaign trail.

In the section "About Me," you can get more information on the candidate's biography. You will learn that Hrant Bagratyan served in the Soviet army, was Armenia's Prime Minister in 1993 -1996. In 1995 he was named "The men of the year" by ABI (American Biography Institute). Mr Bagratyan has also lectured in a number of universities in Armenia.

On the page "Azatutyun" (Liberty) the presidential candidate presents his program and charter. It is here that you are confused to learn that the campaign program of any candidate, including that of Hrant Bagratyan, can become the party's program.

In the section "National Solidarity," Mr Bagratyan wrote, "We do not only seek to reach the advanced civilizations of the world, but also to create a more developed civilization and set an example for others."

The presidential candidate puts the mission on the shoulders of the present generation. The first sentence of the campaign program seems to have been written at the turn of the 20th Century.

"At the threshold of the 21st century the Armenian people was granted a historical chance to build independent statehood. We are already leaving the first quarter of the century behind us," he wrote.
