Vardan Bostanjyan singles out three candidates
Vardan Bostanjyan, a member of the Prosperous Armenia Party (BHK), believes that the political field in Armenia is paralyzed. However, he singles out three presidential candidates - former Prime Minister Hrant Bagratyan, Leader of the National Self-Determination Union (AIM) Paruyr Hayrikyan and Leader of the Heritage Party Raffi Hovannisian.
"Major changes were recorded in Armenia's economy when Bagratyan was the country's premier. Paruyr Hayrikyan devoted his life to the independence of Armenia and Raffi Hovannisian is the ‘standard-bearer' of democracy in Armenia," said Mr Bostanjyan.
His opponent at the Hayeli (Mirror) club, Leader of the Democratic Party of Armenia (HDK) Aram Sargsyan said, "Sure, no one but Bagratyan could have led us to the privatization!"
"BHK Leader Gagik Tsarukyan refused to participate in the election to preserve his property and HAK realized that it has lost its image it had in 2008," he added.
In conclusion, Mr Sargsyan said his party has not decided which of the candidates to support during the upcoming election.
"The answer will be known at the end of the month," said the HDK leader.
