Journalists urge NA Speaker to call MPs to order
A group of journalists in Armenia have addressed a letter to Speaker of National Assembly Hovik Abrahamyan asking him to evaluate today's incident that involved Republican MP Mher Sedrakyan [Mher of Tokhmakh]. In the letter the journalists also urge that Mher Sedrakyan publicly apologize to Mher Arshakyan, a journalist of A1+ Company, who had been offended by the Republican MP at the National Assembly earlier on Wednesday.
"Certain MPs at the National Assembly demonstrate inappropriate behavior towards journalists. Today, Republican Mher Sedrakyan offended A1+'s journalist Mher Arshakyan, saying "Begone or I shall break your jaw." The incident was recorded.
We ask you to call to order MHer Sedrakyan and Samvel Alexanyan, who use disrespectful expressions while talking to journalists," reads the letter.
