V. Hovhannisyan: Doubt should be removed from public
The Armenian Revolutionary Federation -Dashnaktsutyun will undoubtedly participate in February's presidential elections, says ARF-D MP Vahan Hovhannisyan.
He promised to give more details on the format of the party's participation after the upcoming meeting of the General Assembly.
Vahan Hovhannisyan assured A1+ that his party's activity and decisions are not determined by other political forces, including those of the Prosperous Armenia Party (BHK) which has decided not to contest the election.
BHK's withdrawal from the presidential race will be felt by a certain layer of the public. "There will be no one to distribute money. At least at this moment I do not see any political force which is going to encourage its electorate by material means."
With regard to the wiretapped private conversation between the lawmakers of the Armenian National Congress and BHK, Mr Hovhannisyan said, "Law enforcers should seriously probe into the case. Doubt should be removed from the public."
