Some roads and Selim Pass closed for traffic
Several roads and Selim Mountain Pass are closed for traffic due to heavy snowstorm and poor visibility. The roads leading to the villages of Vardablur, Otevan, Garnahovit and Hakko are impassable as of 9.00 a.m., reports the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
Berd-Chambarak, Sevan-Chambarak, Ijevan-Noyemberyan, Goris-Kapan, Ashtarak-Gyumri, Yerevan-Yeghvard, Dilijan-Sevan, Aparan-Spitak roadways are difficult to pass.
According to the Ministry, as of 10.00 a.m., the other highways in the republic are open for traffic. Snow clearing works are under way.
Georgia's Emergency Situations department reports that Stepantsminda-Lars highway is closed.
