Bugged conversation not a topic of discussion
Vice Speaker of the Armenian National Assembly Eduard Sharmazanov took the floor during today's special parliamentary session to speak about the bugged conversation between MPs Levon Zurabyan (Armenian National Congress-HAK) and Vartan Oskanian (Prosperous Armenia Party -BHK).
He was outraged by the opinion of opposition MPs expressed during the discussions on draft law on the Ethics Committee.
"Who said that the opposition should form a majority in the committee? Why are our opposition colleagues so nervous? Why should they strive to have more votes?" said Mr Sharmazanov.
"To speculate the wiretapped conversation for political purposes is wrong, especially by the NA Vice-Speaker. I advise this as a senior colleague," said Aghvan Vardanyan, a lawmaker of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation -Dashnaktsutyun.
Sharmazanov meant the part of the bugged conversation where HAK faction head Levon Zurabyan said that the opposition could count on 5-7% of votes in all circumstance.
