Armenia, IBM reach agreement on cooperation
An Armenian delegation led by Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan visited the headquarters of the IBM Company in the Silicon Valley. The Armenian Government officials and IBM representatives have reached an agreement to create a working group to study the opportunities, potential and perspectives of cooperation.
IBM representatives will visit Armenia to get familiarized with the IT sector and the institutions dealing with the fundamental science.
The working group is expected to submit its findings by the end of the first quarter of 2013, after which the Armenian Government and the IBM Company will sing an agreement on future joint programs.
IBM is a world leader with the number of patented inventions not only in the IT sphere, but also in different fields of the fundamental science, the RA Government's Press Service reports.
