Armenian FM holds consultations in Paris
On December 9, Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian convened consultations in Paris with Armenian Ambassadors and Permanent Representatives accredited to European countries.
Before starting the consultation, the diplomats honored with a minute of silence the memory of deceased Armenian ambassador to Great Britain and Northern Ireland Karine Kazinian.
"Great was the contribution of Karine Kazinian in the development of relations with a number of European countries and the EU," the Armenian FM said, adding that her loss is a huge blow to Armenia's diplomacy.
The Foreign Minister briefed the Ambassadors on the latest developments in Armenia's foreign policy, the process of settlement of the Artsakh issue, the results of the OSCE Ministerial Council meeting in Dublin, the forthcoming Armenia-EU Cooperation Council meeting to be held in Brussels in a week and the works towards proper organization and conduct of the presidential elections in compliance with democratic standards.
Edward Nalbandian gave instructions on the further deepening of cooperation with international organizations, development of bilateral relations with European countries, the work to be done ahead of the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide. The interlocutors paid a special emphasis on the economic component of the Embassies' activity, the development of inter-parliamentary ties and expansion of decentralized cooperation.
Heads of Armenian diplomatic representations presented the activities ongoing in the countries they are accredited in and in international organizations.
The diplomats also discussed a number of regional and international issues, reports the press service of the Armenian Foreign Ministry.
