Ethics Committee to review Rustamyan's application
The Ethics Committee of Armenia's National Assembly will review the application filed by Armen Rustamyan, head of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation-Dashnaktsutyun faction. Mr Rustamyan appealed to the Committee late in November over the foiled parliamentary sitting of the National Assembly slated for November 21. He asked the Committee to determine whether the parliamentary majority violated ethical principles by boycotting the opposition-initiated special session to address the draft amendments to the country's electoral code.
Chairman of the Ethics Committee, Nikol Pashinyan, said that the Committee is to make a decision within 30 days.
"At this moment I cannot comment on the Committee's future actions but I can say that the application will be studied within the specified time period," said Mr Pashinyan.
