Does Armenian government remember the disabled?
Speaker of the Armenian National Assembly reminded at the beginning of the NA sitting that December 3 is observed worldwide as International Day of Persons with Disabilities.
"This is another opportunity to focus our attention on people with limited abilities," said Hovik Abrahamyan. "As members of parliament elected by the people, we are to do everything possible for them to feel full-fledged members of society and not to be alienated from society."
The National Assembly does not have physically disabled MPs. Morover, the NA building is not adapted for people with disability or mobility problems.
