Galust Sahakyan: "Our candidate's campaign was not passive"
Vice President of the Republican Party of Armenia (HHK), Head of the HHK faction Galust Sahakyan has participated in the campaign of HHK candidate Robert Sargsyan in Constituency N1. Talking to A1+, Mr Sahakyan dismissed the allegations that the campaign of the majoritarian candidate had been passive. Rather, he says the campaign of Sargsyan's contender, Heritage party candidate Styopa Safaryan was more passive; he did not even have headquarters.
Galust Sahakyan says during the campaign they had also met with the opposition electorate to discuss their concerns.
"We came to the conclusion that people feel the lack of meetings rather than provocations which are incited by our rival Styopa Safaryan. At first, the opposition electorate demonstrated aggressive approach but later they understood us," he said.
He also brushed away Safaryan's statement that the HHK is bribing voters at the constituency.
"I have never given money to anyone. Today people have numerous concerns and problems and my friends and I always try to assist them in non-election periods," said Mr Sahakyan.
