Dashnaktsutyun appeals to NA Commission on Ethics
On November 28, the parliamentary group of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation-Dashnaktsutyun appealed to the Commission on Ethics over the foiled parliamentary sitting of the National Assembly. The Commission is to determine whether the MPs violated ethical principles by boycotting the opposition-initiated special session.
The Commission is to convene a closed door sitting within ten working days to consider the complaint.
On November 21, the National Assembly convened a special sitting to address the draft amendments to the country's electoral code. However, the sitting was canceled due to lack of quorum, with MPs of the Country of Law (OEK) and Republican Party of Armenia (HHK) walking out of the session hall.
