Opposition MPs are going to apply to Armenian National Assembly's Ethics Committee to determine whether their colleagues from the ruling Republican Party of Armenia (HHK) and its junior coalition partner Country of Law (OEK) have violated ethical principles by boycotting today's NA special session.

Armen Rustamyan, a lawmaker of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation-Dashnaktsutyun is convinced that HHK and OEK have breached the Code of Ethics.

The National Assembly was to address on Wednesday the amendments to the RA Law on the Population's State Register, and the Criminal Code. However, the special session initiated by the opposition Armenian National Congress (HAK) was canceled due to lack of quorum.

In reply to the ARF-D MP, NA Vice-speaker, HHK Spokesman Eduard Sharmazanov, said, "You had better care for your nine absent teammates."

A total of 44 MPs had registered to participate in the special session.

Opposition parties had called for a special session to discuss a draft bill to make amendments to the country's electoral code.
