Everyone waiting for Tsarukyan to run for president
Prosperous Armenia Party (BHK) has an exceptional reputation, says BHK MP Vahan Babayan.
"The party's leader [Gagik Tsarukyan] also enjoys high reputation in the country. BHK is not an oppositional force; it is an alternative force. We are going to give things their proper names. The BHK leader has many virtues, he has done a lot of good things for our people, and there is hardly anyone who does not know Mr Tsarukyan for his deeds. He works for people to live well in this country," Mr Babayan told a press conference on Wednesday.
The whole party, its regional structures and people in Armenia are waiting for Gagik Tsarukyan to announce his candidacy for the 2013 presidential election.
Babayan's opponent, Heritage Party MP Tevan Poghosyan, referred to interior political developments saying that the inter-party consultations in the run-up to the elections are not fabricated.
"Similar consultations were held several years ago but people were not informed about them. If today different parties are able to sit and talk at the same table, it means we have developed a new tradition, a new form of culture," he stressed.
Speaking about their possible candidate in the upcoming presidential election, the Heritage representative said in the pre-election stage his party will concentrate on its candidate and his political vision.
