Gunshots heard in Yerevan
Gunshots were heard in downtown Yerevan on Sunday night.
An unknown person called the police at around 2.10 am to say that shots were fired from unidentified weapons in the direction of apartment blocks in the Vardanants and Hanrapetutyan streets.
On arriving at the scene, a task force found 5.45mm-, 2mm- and 9mm-diameter capsules. One of the bullets turned out to have struck the window of an apartment belonging to Armen G.
Later in the day, 30-year-old Vahe M. was taken to the police department from Vardanants street. During the interrogation, Vahe reportedly hindered the work of the police department, using abusive languages and hurting his hands by breaking windows.
Vahe M. was hospitalized.
