David Shahnazaryan refuses to speak about HAK
David Shahnazaryan, a former member of the opposition Armenian National Congress (HAK), does not have a clear answer whether or not he will stand for president in the 2013 elections.
"Frankly speaking, I do not have a program," Mr Shahnazaryan told journalists on Friday.
Speaking about the pre-election situation in Armenia, he characterized it is bipolar, adding that the current situation has emerged after the May 6 parliamentary elections.
The former HAK member does not take the authorities' statements and pledges to introduce reforms seriously.
"They will be unable to do that no matter what they say or how much they wish," he said.
Regarding the recent developments around the Prosperous Armenia Party (BHK) Mr Shahnazaryan said the BHK is voicing the demands Russia has posed to Armenian authorities.
"The Armenian authorities have sent a clear message to Moscow that they accept Russia's political demands but are not going to give the levers of the executive power to Russia," he said.
David Shahnazaryan today refrained from speaking about the HAK.
"HAK no longer exists as an independent political force," he said.
