NKR Defense Army on military truck accident
At around 8 p.m. November 1, Ural-375/236 turned over and fell into a gorge in the territory called Haruri gorge in Karvachar, killing four and injuring 15 contract servicemen, the Defense Army of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic reports.
"The driver of the car, lance corporal Arthur Yeremyan (born in 1960) and other three servicemen Manvel Apinjanyan (b. in 1982), Sanasar Piloyan (b. in 1969) and Gagik Vardanyan (b. in 1963) died on site.
The other 15 contract servicemen were rushed to Vardenis military hospital. Six of them are being transported to the Central Clinical Military Hospital in Yerevan.
The NKR Defense Army mourns the loss of the soldiers and expresses its support to their relatives, friends and co-servicemen," NKR Defense Army said in a statement.
A criminal case has been filed on violation of exploitation rules of vehicle causing careless death of two or more people.
