U.S. Secretary of Navy arrives in Armenia
Armenian Minister of Defense Seyran Ohanyan today received U.S. Secretary of the Navy Ray Mabus.
Why should a U.S. navy official come to a country that does not have a sea or navy?
"We expect to conduct new exercises between the U.S. navy corps and Armenian Armed Forces and deepen cooperation in this sphere, said the U.S. official.
During a joint press conference with the Armenian Minister, Mr Ray Mabus did not elaborate on the exercises to be held with the Armenian side. He only said the USA highlights cooperation with Armenia, especially in Kosovo and Afghanistan.
