Free Democrats Party has issued a statement referring to the split between Heritage and Free Democrats parties.

"The recent political processes involving "Free Democrats" and "Heritage" parties are inadmissible for our political force, and we regret that all our efforts to preserve the alliance have been pulverized.

Considering the aforesaid circumstances, the party's board decides that its representatives in the National Assembly Khachatur Kokobelyan and Alexander Arzumanyan shall no longer represent the Heritage faction. Formally remaining as members of the Heritage faction, they represent the Free Democrats Party at the National Assembly and bear no responsibility for the actions of the Heritage Faction. Moreover, they are not bound by the decisions of this faction," Free Democrats said in the statement.

Earlier in the day, leader of the Heritage faction Ruben Hakobyan said during the regular four-day session of the National Assembly that their faction had made a decision that Leader of Free Democrats Khachatur Kokobelyan would no longer represent the Heritage party in any format.

In his turn, Kokobelyan said that neither he nor his party-mate Alik Arzumanyan would represent Heritage in any format though formally they be part of the faction.
